Ghost Hunting at Wasdale Hall – Overnight ghost hunts at Wasdale Hall on the shores of Wastwater in Cumbria. With ghostly sightings of a woman looking for her daughter and the ghostly appearance of a man in the cellars and the sound of a woman sobbing, and children crying are you brave enough to explore Wasdale Hall on a ghost hunt?

Owls by Moonlight at Muncaster Castle – A hot two course meal is provided whilst the British Owl Experts regale you with interesting facts about these beautiful birds followed by a wonderful flight display of these majestic creatures by moonlight!

Galloway Antiques Fair – A quality antiques and fine art fair set inside Holker Hall.
16th – 18th March
Guided Walk Hills, Gills and Falls – Delightful walk over Tom Heights to Colwith Force and Holme Fell with views over Coniston Water. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
Several other guided walks scheduled for March.
Easter & Spring Activities at Holker Hall & Gardens – Easter themed fun, craft and outdoor activities for all the family.
5th – 6th April
Woolpack Cider and Sausage Festival – Over 50 ciders and 25 varieties of locally produced and sourced sausages, with live music and tractor pulls.
20th – 23rd April
Cumberland Sausage Festival – The 4th Sausage, Food and Drink Festival over May Day at Muncaster Castle! A three day celebration of good food, drink and all things Cumbrian, over the Bank Holiday weekend.
5th – 7th May
The Strands Inn & Brewery Festival – The brewery has been in operation here since 2007, and there are around 30 different beers created each year. The festival is a three-day event each May and features beers created in the brewery. There is live music and food available throughout.
12th – 13th May
Muncaster Festival – The festival culminates with the International Jesters Tournament held on the final day. Come along and watch this year’s hopefuls battle it out to win the prestigious title of Fool of Muncaster 2018.
27th – 29th May
The Great North Swim – Europe’s biggest open water swimming event is set to return to the Lake District, welcoming swimmers of all abilities! You can also enjoy family events and activities, tasty local food, a craft beer tent and live acoustic music.
Boot Beer Festival – The Boot Beer Festival sees local pubs joining together to offer over 140 ales, all hosting different activities including quiz nights, live music and tractor pulling. Food is available throughout and the festival welcomes children with designated play areas around the valley. A free shuttle bus service will be available to take you between the different venues.

National Trust Activity Days at Dalegarth Station – Hands on fun for all the family, learn the art of den building and all about the local wildlife.
25th – 26th July
Shakespeare Midsummer Nights Dream – Travelling company The Three Inch Fools return to Muncaster Castle with a new production of Shakespeare’s ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ on the Castle lawn. The production will start at 6pm. The seating area on the lawn will be open from around 5pm.
Picnic Cinema at Muncaster Castle – Two classic films on the front lawn, you are welcome to bring your own picnic however food will be available.
10th – 11th August
